Sometimes it is required to test the validity of the various connection objects used in the mappings without actually running the mapping. The attached mapping accomplishes that and helps to identify whether a  particular relational connection in the repository works or not. The resulting output file from running the mapping is an excel spreadsheet that lists the Relational Connection Name, Status (passed/failed), Database Type, User Name, Connection String, Create Date, and Error. Note: DB2, Oracle, Informix, and ODBC connections are handled in the solution.
