Overview

Use the Pre-Installer tool to determine whether the machine where you install the Informatica 9 services meets the minimum system requirements. This tool verifies the available memory and disk space and environment variable settings. It also determines the database system settings to verify whether the database is configured correctly for the domain configuration repository.

Features

Checks the operating system and version where you are running this on and will fail for the unsupported operating system.Checks Disk space to make sure enough space is available in the install location provided.Port availability is checked for a range of ports starting the service manager port provided.Temporary disk space is checked for in the temp directory. If IATEMPDIR environment variable is set to specify the desired temporary directory, disk space under this directory will be checked. Checks JRE_HOME environment variable. It should not be present for the installation.The tool will check for the existence of LANG and LC_ALL variables and warn if they are not present. Physical memory on the machine to see if it meets minimum memory requirement by the product.
