This application is an Informatica PowerCenter based tool which uses a continuously running workflow to read and save mails along with their attachments from a remote mail server. The tool checks for new mail after a pre-defined time interval which can be set by the user.The tool reads from a .csv source file which contains the parameters required for mail retrieval. The file contains information like login-id, password, host, protocol etc. which is read by the application to log on to the remote email server and retrieve mails. The application provides the users the flexibility of reading only read/unread mails. Users can also specify the time frame for which the mails are to be retrieved.The application saves each mail at a predefined path provided by the user. Each mail along with its attachments is saved in a separate directory which is time stamped. This prevents overwriting of mails with the same subject line.The tool is designed to run continuously using the Informatica PowerCenter scheduler.
