SFDC OAuth Tool is a standalone tool which helps in generating access tokens for SFDC OAuth login mode.

Overview

SFDC OAuth Tool is a standalone tool which helps in generating access tokens for SFDC OAuth login mode.

Salesforce Connector provides two modes of Salesforce login. When you create a Salesforce connection, you can either select Standard or OAuth type. The Standard connection accepts username and password. The OAuth connection accepts the Service URL, Refresh Token, Consumer Key and Consumer Secret.

OAuth – Instructions:

Salesforce Connected App should be created to get Consumer Key and Consumer Secret:

Create a connected app with call back URL as https://localhost:8443/salesforce/receivecallback

OAuth Tool Usage instructions:

NOTE: Ensure you are using Java 1.8 and your JAVA_HOME points to JDK 1.8

  • Unzip the OAuth.zip.
  • Go to OAuth/conf – open the server.xml file for editing.
  • Search for mystore.jks  - change the path to one on your system.
  • Go to – OAuth/bin and execute catalina.bat start.
  • From browser go to – http://localhost:8090/salesforce.
  • Enter Client Id (Same as Salesforce Consumer Key), Client Secret Key (Same as Salesforce Consumer Secret) and URL.
  • On clicking submit you are being re-directed to Salesforce page where you must allow access.
  • You are now ready with all the required parameters to create a connection for Importing Objects at Mapping designer and to have a connection at session level.
