Enterprise Data Catalog Add-Ons

Posted by: Informatica Platform

Use the Enterprise Data Catalog Add-Ons to connect to the Catalog Administrator tool and perform various additional tasks. The add-ons contain the following services: CurateAssist, Catalog Operation Reports, and Business Term Association from Synonym file

Overview

Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog add-ons

The add-ons provide the following functionalities:

Curate data domain assets by moving specified data domains to the accepted state and rejecting other data domains in bulk.

Export the assets to a CSV file, specify the data domains to move to the accepted state, and then use the add-on to parse the CSV file and generate an output file. The output file will have the specified data domains in the accepted state and all other data domains in the rejected state. Import the CSV file into the Catalog to curate the assets.

View the resource schedule report and the duplicate resources report.

View a list of Catalog resources and resource schedules in the resource schedule report. The report helps you determine the best schedule to minimize the number of simultaneous resource scan jobs when you create a new schedule.

View duplicate Catalog resources in the duplicate resources report. Duplicate resources are resources that have identical connection properties. The add-on supports non-JDBC relational databases and displays duplicate resource groups for each resource type.

Associate business terms from an Informatica Axon resource with specific columns in a tabular asset.

Associate business terms from an Informatica Axon resource with specific columns within a tabular asset. The add-on supports tabular assets from relational database type resources. Create a synonym file in CSV format to define the associations, and then use the add-on to associate business terms with the specified columns.
