After developing PowerCenter Code, migrating the code from one repository to the another is the next logical step. Using Deployment Groups for the code migration is a widely used practice. While working with multiple deployment group, it makes sense to use command line approach as it gives flexibility. However, code migration using deployment group involves multiple steps e.g. specifying control file, specifying different deployment group with each iteration etc. The given Informatica Deployment Group Automation (IDGA) script lets you automate the deployment process. The main goal of IDGA utility is to reduce amount of manual intervention required to migrate deployment groups from one repository to another. In addition to the migration of Deployment groups, this utility has the below features:

1. Validate Objects after the deployment has completed
2. Send email messages to on the completion of the deployment with information of the location of the Deployment and validation logs.
