Overview

Use VSAM CDC Connector to connect to a PowerExchange CICS/VSAM change data capture (CDC) environment to retrieve change records for registered VSAM data sets. The PowerExchange CDC environment can use CICS/VSAM CDC to capture change data. PowerExchange captures change records from VSAM data sets and logs the records in PowerExchange Logger for z/OS log files. The change records are then re-logged to a remote PowerExchange Logger for Linux, UNIX, and Windows so that VSAM CDC Connector can access the records.


VSAM CDC Connector extracts change records from PowerExchange Logger for Linux, UNIX, and Windows log files and sends the records to Data Integration. Data Integration can then transmit the change records to a supported target.
