SAP ECC/ERP Connector

SAP ECC/ERP Connector

Posted by: Informatica Cloud

Use SAP ERP connector to build data mappings to read, write or update data in SAP ECC, ERP or S4 HANA applicaitons.

ERP Connector has three interfaces; ABAP Table Reader, BAPI/RFC  & IDoc.

Overview

Use ABAP Table reader to extract bulk data or incremental delta extracts using the timestamp filters; extracts run in background mode in SAP and transfer the data over HTTP(s) protocol. ABAP Table reader requires a transport to be imported into the source system and uses SAP JCo and SAP Internet communication Manager to transfer the data.

Use IDoc (Intermediate Document) interface to perform message based integration with SAP.

Use BAPI Mapplet interface to read, insert or update business object's data in SAP.  BAPI is a synchronous interface that runs in foreground mode.

IDoc & BAPI interface uses NetWeaver RFC SDK to communicate with SAP and does not require any transports.
